While many points of antenatal care may be safely accomplished using virtual contacts, blood pressure monitoring and urine evaluation are key facets of antenatal care, undertaken as a routine at every antenatal contact. The overall objective of this study was to analyze the impact and acceptability, for girls and healthcare professionals, of speedy rollout of supported self-monitoring of BP for prime-danger and shielded pregnant women throughout Scotland during the coronavirus (COVID)-19 pandemic, using semi-structured telephone interviews with midwives, obstetricians and ladies who have been using self-monitoring of blood pressure services in three Health Boards. The semi-structured interviews assessed acceptability and experiences of women and employees.
