The pictures are of one of the new ones, each in a unique location. As you can see, the results are amazing! Yes, regardless of claiming to be clog-free, they nonetheless do clog up. But they are fairly straightforward to wash. I use a compressed air hose. You would use a few of that canned air, that you may get at most any store, that is normally used for blowing out pc keyboard and other digital units. The bugs come off fairly simply (a number of may get caught on there). And yes, the facility cord is tremendous short, so you will want a 3-prong extension cord. If you want the bug zapper to grasp straight, you'll have to have a cord long enough to have some slack on the zapper. Me? I do not care if they're straight or not, as long as they work, which they do. Yes, they are often noisy, particularly the first few nights when the bug inhabitants is probably the most. Just don't put them outside your bedroom window if you leave the window open! I do replace the bulbs once a year, which is fairly simple to do since you do not need to take something apart. I don't use the octenol packet that comes with the zappers. To begin with, the bugs (mosquitoes) are attracted sufficient, and second of all, I don't need to spend the money or the trouble to change them each month. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this product.
